Inside a larger historical building that was renovated just a few years ago, a new branch office was created for Bank J. Van Breda & C°, a specialized advisory bank that focuses exclusively on entrepreneurs and liberal professions. Within the contours of the existing building, the ground floor is designed to receive clients, while the cellar and first floor are more reserved for staff.
Discrete conversations with clients in small meeting rooms needed to be possible in the public area, yet the existing building only provided large spaces. Therefore we introduced smaller boxes with several meeting rooms into the bigger space. The boxes are made of colored glass to provide enough privacy without creating an enclosed feeling. The available spaces on the first floor were large as well and therefore interesting as they were. As such, we outfitted them as landscape offices for flexible workspaces.
Heating and ventilation amenities were totally renewed. Heating and cooling is provided by an intelligent mechanical and controlled ventilation system. New lightning, data and electricity are installed according to the needs of the bank.
