The brief for this project was to design a contemporary home for a large family with an integrated pool and poolhouse. The site is set remote from the street and surroundings which gave us the possibility of opening up the whole house towards the garden. The relationship between in- and outdoor are a primary concern for this design.

We introduced an L-shaped groundfloor as it fits the site and its orientation perefectly. Large windows open up the living spaces for maximal light and view. Horizontal white concrete slabs are combined with bright bricks to create a slender and timeless image. Bedrooms and fitness space are situated on the first floor, all with adjacent terraces or balcony.

The house is provided of state of the art techniques for ventilation and heating to ensure cost-efficiency and meet with today’s standards of low-energy housing.
